MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Republican National Convention may have concluded several weeks ago, but the RNC Host Committee continues to express its gratitude to the thousands of volunteers who helped make the event a success in Milwaukee.
The Host Committee held a thank-you party on Thursday, Aug. 15 at The Pfister Hotel for the 4,000 volunteers who assisted during the convention.
These volunteers greeted delegates, participated in various events throughout the week and helped guide attendees around the convention and the city.
"The volunteers were our front line," said Alison Prange, president and COO of the Milwaukee Host Committee. "The volunteers really helped give that warm Wisconsin welcome, and talking to people who were here, they talk about the friendly greetings."
Committee members emphasized the importance of acknowledging the thousands who took time out of their summer in Milwaukee to help at the RNC.
