MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shots-fired incident at Tiefenthaler Park on Thursday evening.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the park shortly after 4:30 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.

Investigators located several shell casings at the scene. A caller reported hearing approximately 20 shots fired.

Authorities said no victims have been identified, but several nearby homeowners reported their homes were struck by gunfire.

Deputies and detectives remained at the scene Thursday evening interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. A large portion of the park has been closed and is expected to remain closed for the next two to three hours while the investigation continues.

No suspect information has been released.
