RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine Zoo is rolling out a busy late summer and fall schedule with events for adults and families. Beth Heidorn, executive director, joined us on Monday, Aug. 25 to preview the lineup.
World Roar Wine Pour takes place Wednesday, Aug. 27 offering international wine and beer tastings, hors d’oeuvres and an animal ambassador experience.
Zoo Debut, the zoo’s black-tie fundraising gala, follows on Saturday, Sept. 6. The evening includes dinner, an open bar, live entertainment and auctions. Proceeds benefit veterinary care, education and conservation programs.
OktoBEARfest returns Friday, Sept. 26, featuring German beers, food and music. On Saturday, Oct. 4, guests can attend Old Fashioned Cocktail Night, where local competitors showcase versions of Wisconsin’s signature drink.
Families can take part in Jack-O’-Lantern Nights from Thursday, Oct. 2 through Friday, Oct. 31. The event runs Thursdays through Sundays and includes lighted pathways, pumpkin displays and seasonal decorations.
