Strong to severe storms possible Friday evening

Hot temperatures are expected Friday afternoon.  A southwest wind should push highs into the upper 80s to near 90.  The heat index will feel more like 100!  All of that heat and humidity will pool across southeastern Wisconsin, so the fuel will be there to spark showers and storms.

Late tonight storms will redevelop well to our northwest.  Some of those storms will have a chance to arrive overnight.  More importantly those storms will lay down an outflow boundary for Friday.  That boundary will serve as a focus for additional storms Friday night.  The best timing for the storms will be from 7 pm till 1 am.

The SPC has our area under a marginal risk for strong to severe storms.  Hail and damaging winds are the most likely threats.
