Sunshine returns today but won't stick around for long

It's been nice to see some sunshine this morning! Southeast Wisconsin is the lucky corner of the state that has seen the low clouds break up.

A decent mix of sun and clouds will continue for the rest of today, but more clouds move in tonight with only a few peeks of sun on Friday. The cloud cover thickens up ahead of a weak and disorganized low pressure system that will bring patchy light snow to southeast WI on Saturday.

Snow will be fairly light with less than an inch expected. A few flurries may linger on Sunday, but they'll be fairly isolated and mainly in the morning.

Temps will remain slightly above normal through the weekend and into early next week.

We're still watching the potential for a larger system on Tuesday of next week. This far out, there are still many questions about the track of this system and whether or not southern Wisconsin will experience major or minor impacts.

Definitely something to keep tabs on over the weekend, but nothing to panic about. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App for the latest throughout the weekend.
