Surveillance video: Vandals cause $30K in damage at Superior Equipment and Supply in St. Francis

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Vandals caused about $30,000 in damage at Superior Equipment and Supply, located at 4550 S. Brust Avenue in St. Francis. Police released surveillance video from the incident that happened in the early morning hours of Sept. 21, 2022.

According to police, based on surveillance footage, around 2:40 a.m., a silver BMW sedan, believed to be a 2008-2013 BMW three series (328i, possibly x-drive) arrived at Superior Equipment and Supply with three occupants.

Officials say the front passenger, described as a slender white man who appeared to be intoxicated, stumbled out of the vehicle and walked around the outdoor patio causing extensive damage. Police say the man kicked over light poles, smashed light globes, pulled a light fixture off the wall, pried open a custom metal grill hood, and tried to tip over the garbage cans.

According to police, a backseat passenger -- described as a white female with dark hair -- also exited the vehicle and ran into the bushes. Police believe she needed to relieve herself.

After about four minutes, the occupants got back into the BMW and left the property southbound on Brust Avenue.

Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact St. Francis Police Department Detective Holly McManus at 414-316-4340.
