Two families displaced after Labor Day fire in Kenosha

KENOSHA (CBS 58) -- The Kenosha Fire Department was called to a house fire in the 4600 block of 18th Avenue Monday afternoon.

Crews ceased efforts for several minutes until a downed electrical wire was de-energized. During this time, flames spread to a neighboring home causing significant damage. The initial home on fire has been deemed a complete loss.

Two families, 12 people in all, have been displaced. One person was taken to a hospital for injuries. Four members of the fire department were injured as a result of strains and falling debris, all injuries were minor.
