Uecker muralist shares some inside baseball on his painting technique as piece continues to take shape

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Bob Uecker mural in downtown Milwaukee is really taking shape! Artist Mauricio Ramirez says he's about wrapped up with Mr. Baseball's face and now plans to move on to the suit portion.

"The face is definitely the most challenging part, you know the suit, I think is going to recognize as a suit, once it's all painted, and there are some graphics that say 'Mr. Baseball' and it has his signature, but you know that stuff is the fun stuff, that's the graphic design portion of it, and I'm really looking forward to that part."

Here's a little inside baseball, Ramirez tells us he's keeping his spray paint cans on ice because that helps the colors blend better.

He hopes the mural -- located on a downtown building at Jackson and Mason -- will be completed in about two weeks.
