'Unsung heroes': Franklin churches host luncheons in honor of local public school teachers

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- How often do teachers hear applause for the work they do?
Wednesday morning, in Franklin, four churches hosted a luncheon for the teachers in five Franklin public elementary schools.
The teachers received a nice ovation as they walked in, before sitting down to a meal. All this as they prepare for the start of a new school year.
"We know that they are kind of those unsung heroes in the classrooms and being with our kids and loving on those kids every day," said Kath Eaton, pastor of adult ministries.
Wednesday's luncheon was held at Southbrook Church in Franklin.
