Updated snow potential for Friday

The first widespread snow of the season is set to arrive Friday evening across southeastern Wisconsin.  This is a fast moving clipper system that will deliver a quick shot of snow for your Friday evening plans.

The best timing for our area will be from 6 pm till Midnight.  This type of system will provide more of a dry snow, so we aren't expecting slushy conditions on the roads.  A powdery dry snow will cause impacts on roads and sidewalks, so please use caution Friday night.  Most accidents occur with less than 6" of snow, especially the first one of the season.

Generally speaking 1" to 2" of snow is forecast for our area.  Snow will also fall across most of the state.  If you do travel northwest you could run into snow showers Friday morning into the afternoon.
