MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Several major events are set to take place in Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend. Ian Thompson of Visit Milwaukee joined us to offer a preview on Thursday, Aug. 28.
The Hy-Vee Milwaukee Mile 250s Weekend will feature NTT IndyCar Series aces at the Milwaukee Mile on Saturday, Aug. 30 and Sunday, Sept. 1, with additional activities in the Free Fan Zone at Wisconsin State Fair Park.
Alternative rock band Third Eye Blind will perform at Potawatomi Casino Hotel on Saturday, Aug. 31 as part of the Amplified summer concert series.
Red Bull Wake the City, a wakeboarding competition, will debut in the U.S. on Saturday at the Summerfest Grounds.
The Women’s College Volleyball Showcase will take place Sunday and Monday at Fiserv Forum, featuring teams from Texas, Wisconsin, Stanford and Minnesota.
The Red, White & Brews Festival will be held on Sunday at The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin, with live music and other activities.
The Harley-Davidson Museum will host events including Ladies Night on Thursday, a factory outlet sale and BBQ & Blues on Saturday.
Broken Bat Brewing Company will hold "No-Phone Friday" on Friday, encouraging phone-free participation and raising funds for Mental Health America of Wisconsin.
