Visitors invited to take a 'Ride on the Wild Side' through Milwaukee County Zoo this weekend

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Visitors to the Milwaukee county zoo are invited to bring their bicycles this weekend.
The Zoological Society's annual 'Ride on the Wild Side' fundraiser returns Sunday.
Kids can bring along their favorite toy animal friends and take a ride in the critter caravan - a special 2.5 mile kids' route through the zoo.
Seasoned riders choose either a 10,17 or 27 mile ride that starts at the zoo and continues north along the Menomonee River Parkway and the Oak Leaf Trail.
There will also be a post-ride snack, crafts and temporary tattoos for the kids after the event.
Rides start at 8 and 8:15 a.m.
Last year's event raised more than $30,000 for the zoological society and its support of the Milwaukee county zoo.
