VP Harris to hold rally in Madison Friday

MADISON Wis. (CBS 58) -- Vice President Kamala Harris will hold a rally in Madison on Friday as the campaign continues to visit crucial battleground state ahead of the November election.

Harris will hold the event Sept. 20 during the "early evening," according to the campaign. No additional details on the visit were available Monday morning.

It will mark Harris' eighth stop to Wisconsin this year and fourth visit since President Joe Biden stepped aside.

Harris will also hold upcoming events in Pennsylvania and Michigan this week.

Since entering the race, supporters in Wisconsin have knocked on more than 500,000 doors and that since last week's debate with Trump and the campaign has signed up more than 3,000 new volunteers, her campaign told the Associated Press.
