Monday was impressively windy all across southeast Wisconsin with wind gusts reaching 50 mph in some spots. The strong wind led to high waves near the lakefront with an east wind, but that wind has now shifted to the southwest so high waves are not as much of a concern but strong wind still is.
A wind advisory was issued Monday night for everyone in southeast Wisconsin and will last until 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. Wind gusts could once again reach 50 mph.
Wind gusts Tuesday morning have already reached 40 mph in spots. Here's a look at current wind gusts that will update with time:
Gusts are expected to stay between 20-40 mph all day long. The wind comes down a little tonight but still windy with gusts 15-30 mph and then staying breezy Wednesday between 10-20 mph before a lighter wind finally arrives Thursday.
In addition to the wind, Tuesday will remain a gloomy day with plenty of scattered light rain showers as low pressure pinwheels through the state of Wisconsin. Rain totals aren't too impressive with most spots only seeing up to a tenth of an inch of rain.
After a dry start to Wednesday with a little sunshine, another chance for rain arrives Wednesday evening. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to see how Halloween is shaping up!
