Wisconsin marks Kringle Day, celebrating the state's official pastry

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin celebrates Kringle Day on Tuesday, June 30, honoring the pastry that traces back to Danish immigrants who settled in the state during the 19th century.

Kringle has since become a Wisconsin staple alongside cheese curds and bratwurst.

Gov. Tony Evers is scheduled to visit O&H Danish Bakery in Mount Pleasant on Tuesday to mark the occasion.
