MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin companies are gearing up for the holiday season with a focus on local, specialty products. As the festive period draws near, these businesses are showcasing a range of Wisconsin-made items, emphasizing the state's rich culinary and artisanal traditions. Their offerings aim to add a unique local flavor to this year's holiday celebrations.

Ashley Hagenow, Wisconsin's 76th Alice in Dairyland, highlighted the "Something Special from Wisconsin" program when she joined us on Tuesday, Nov. 14. This program features a diverse range of products from hundreds of small Wisconsin businesses, catering to various holiday needs.

Among Hagenow's recommendations for a festive charcuterie board are high-quality Wisconsin cheese from the Real Wisconsin Products Company and sustainable, award-winning cheeses from Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese. For a global twist, White Jasmine offers Tandoori Gouda and Garam Masala spices.

To balance the cheese options, Palo Popcorn provides a variety of gourmet popcorn flavors. For those with a sweet tooth, Sweet P’s Pantry offers an assortment of toffees and truffles, while Emmanuel’s Mix presents a unique sweet and salty snack option.

All these products, easily identifiable by the Something Special from Wisconsin logo, reflect at least 50% of their packaging, production or ingredients originating from Wisconsin.
