23-year-old Germantown woman killed in Washington Co. crash

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Officials say a 23-year-old Germantown woman has died following a crash in the Town of Jackson Wednesday evening, Feb. 28. 

Responding deputies located a vehicle unoccupied in the east ditch of Division Road north of Highway 60 just before 9 p.m.. Authorities say the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was found outside of the vehicle with fatal injuries. 

A preliminary investigation indicated that the vehicle was southbound on Division Road when it went off onto the west shoulder, overcorrected back to the east and across the northbound lane of traffic before entering the east ditch and overturning. 

The crash marks Washington County's first traffic fatality of 2024. 

It remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Team.
