MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Brewers looked poised to end a long postseason drought without a series win, but this year is not the year as the Brewers lose to the New York Mets.
After Jake Bauers and Sal Frelick went back-to-back in the 7th inning, the Brewers held a 2-0 lead.
In the 9th inning, with Devin Williams pitching, Pete Alonso makes him pay with a 3-run home run to give the Mets a 3-2 lead.
The Mets add another run in the inning and hold on for the 4-2 win.
The Brewers season ends in the National League Wild Card.
