Burlington police seek person of interest in stolen vehicle investigation
BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Burlington police are asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest in a burglary/stolen vehicle investigation.
Officers are looking for 23-year-old Hunter Hanson of Racine, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Police responded to a home near Eastbrook and Dale Drive Monday morning, Dec. 12, after the homeowners reported their vehicle stolen. Police say someone entered their home through an unlocked garage service door, taking keys for three separate vehicles and a beige 2014 Toyota Tacoma with the Wisconsin license plate JE 9089.
On Sunday, Dec. 11, police say Hanson was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by the Racine County Sheriff's Department. They say Hanson fled that traffic stop on foot in the general area of the burglary.
Hanson is currently out on bond through Racine County on the following charges:
- Attempted first-degree intentional homicide
- Disorderly conduct/use of a dangerous weapon
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Flee/elude an officer
- Second-degree recklessly endangering safety
