WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS58) — Whether you're watching your hometown team or just stopping by for a drink, you've probably noticed a dart board on the wall of your favorite bar. In the latest CBS 58 Hometowns, Montse Ricossa shows us how darts are the main attraction at The Buzzard's Nest in West Allis.
It’s estimated that about 16 and a half million Americans play darts. Whether you're a professional, amateur, or just picking it up for the first time, they all have the same goal: have fun.
Larry Pryor alongside his wife Melodie own The Buzzard’s Nest, which has become “a pretty big dart destination now. We started from 15 teams to 34-38” according to Pryor.
“We're just having fun, have a few drinks, and have a good time. Whether you win or lose, you might hit that great great round of darts. You might not, but there's always next week, especially in leagues. That’s the most important thing, especially and you make so many friends, it’s awesome,” said Greg, who’s on multiple dart teams.
You can make your own dart league team or simply enjoy a game at Buzzard’s Nest located at 6000 W Mitchell Street in West Allis.
