DNR investigating after dozens of dead birds found on Milwaukee's north side

CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Dozens of dead birds, appearing to be seagulls, could be seen covering streets and sidewalks near 31st and Hope on Milwaukee's north side Thursday, July 2.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources confirmed to CBS 58 that it received several reports of the dead birds and is investigating.
Officials have collected multiple carcasses for necropsy, with results expected to take a couple of weeks to be completed.
