MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's time to take a bite out of Milwaukee!
Downtown dining week kicks off Thursday.
This is your chance to get a flavor of all downtown Milwaukee has to offer - the city's top steakhouses, bistros and ethnic eateries at discount prices.
Thirty-seven area restaurants are participating this year.
For the next eight days people can feast on multi-course meals at $12.50 for lunch, and $25 or $35 for dinner.
All you have to do is pick your entree and sides from the chef-selected list of options and enjoy.
Organizers have said in the past the event is a great promote area businesses.
“It's an awesome opportunity to boost business,” said Erica Chang, of Downtown Milwaukee. “[it’s a chance for new customers to] sip and sample your way through your restaurant.”
Participating restaurants have said in the past it’s a great way to get and keep new customers coming back.
“Guests who come in now get to try it for a really great price,” said Danielle Burg of Rare Steakhouse. “If we win them over, they'll come back for anniversaries, birthdays, date nights, random Saturday nights, and say, ‘Let's treat us to a nice dinner.’”
Interstate parking is offering two hour parking for $3 in its seven downtown area lots for Downtown Dining week. Just use the code 'EATUP'.
