MUSKEGO, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Muskego family is on the hunt for a new family puppy courtesy of Christian Yelich.
The Labodda family was at last Saturday's game against the Cardinals. Their daughters, Lola and Libby, held up a sign that said, "Yelich, hit a home run and my dad buys me a puppy." Sure enough, our hometown MVP hit a homer on the first pitch.
The family says as good as Yelich is, they didn't expect it to happen so quickly.
"Yelich hits the home run and I'm like, 'what just happened here?' so I had picked Lola up with the sign and I kinda set her on the front railing and I turned her toward the Brewers dugout and as the Brewers were giving Yelich the high fives and stuff, like 4 or 5 brewers turned around and acknowledged the sign. They were pointing at Lola and giving her a thumbs up. It was just amazing," Jessica and Mike Labodda said.
They say they are currently searching for the perfect puppy to add to their family.
CBS 58 will have more from our conversation with the Labodda's coming up on CBS 58 Sunday Morning, airing April 7.
