It has been a cold start to the week with wind chills as cold as -35 degrees. While morning wind chills Thursday morning are still below-zero and as cold as -15, it's not nearly as bad. In fact, highs on Thursday will rise into the low 20s with wind chill values finally warming above zero!
Our warm up continues the rest of the week with highs in the upper 20s Friday then 30s on the way for the weekend and even 40s arriving next week! The average high temperature for Thursday's date is 36 degrees.
We may have a bit more of a breeze Thursday than the last few days from 10-15 mph. Friday sees a lighter wind again from 5-15 mph then the breeze kicks back in for Saturday.
In addition to the warm up this week, we have some good sunset news! The sunset time for Thursday is 5:30 PM. Daylight hours continue to get longer and longer and now amount to almost 11 hours. Not bad considering total daylight was 9 hours for the start of winter. And if all of that wasn't enough for you, spring is only a month away!
