MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--Like we learned on Friday, Lake Michigan is open for business. It all depends on wind flow to get our lake effect snow. On Friday, we had feeder bands come onshore, dropping a few inches in certain locations. I think Saturday the opportunity remains mainly lakeside. Up to an inch of snow can be expected in favored areas. We have another shot of snow Sunday evening through at least the first part of Monday, Groundhog Day. Then one more opportunity by the end of the week, especially late Thursday into Friday.
The big story for this coming week will be a slow and methodical warmup. We have a lot of 20s and even some 30s on the way. It'll feel milder relatively speaking. By the way, we had a record low on this date back in 2019. The temperature dropped to -23. So like I always say, weather is always relative.
