WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Froedtert Hospital has released a statement identifying the woman that died in the parking garage early Friday morning. 

The woman has been identified as Carlie Beaudin who was a nurse practitioner in the Department of Medicine – Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital. Beaudin worked at Froedtert from 2007 to 2014 and at the Medical College of Wisconsin since 2014. 

In a statement the hospital said:

"Her presence was felt by all who knew her, providing both warmth and strength to patients as well as mentorship to new advanced practice providers (APPs) and nurses. We ask for the community to respect the privacy of her family and co-workers as they grieve this tragedy."

The circumstances surrounding Beaudin's death are still under investigation by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office but a man has been arrested.

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says their squads were dispatched to the Froedtert parking garage around 3:45 a.m. Friday for someone trapped under a car. 

When deputies arrived they found a woman who was unconscious with a weak pulse. The woman was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries about a half hour later.

Deputies were notified of a person of interest later in the morning and arrested a 27-year-old man near 37th and Wisconsin. 

The investigation is ongoing.

Froedtert Hospital sent an updated statement Friday afternoon that said they are "devastated by the loss of a member of our campus community."

Froedtert & MCW is devastated by the loss of a member of our campus community. We continue to work closely with law enforcement. We remain vigilant about the emotional and physical safety of every person who works at, is cared for by, or visits our clinics and hospitals and have enhanced security measures. As this is an ongoing active investigation, any additional questions must be directed to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department. Thank you.

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says the death of a woman Friday morning is being investigated as a homicide. 

An autopsy is being performed Friday.

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office says they were called to a parking garage at Froedtert Memorial Hospital early Friday morning for a woman that was trapped under a car and frozen to the ground.

Authorities say they got to the scene around 3:45 a.m. and found the woman bleeding profusely from the head. She had a weak pulse and was unconscious.

The car had crashed into a wall of the parking structure and had moderate damage. Authorities say there was no one in the car when they got to the scene.

Officials say once she was thawed from the ground, the woman was taken to the trauma center were she was pronounced dead at 4:21 a.m. 

The woman is not being identified and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Froedtert Hospital released the following statement:

"A situation is currently being investigated on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Campus. We are working with the Milwaukee Sheriff’s Department and Wauwatosa Fire and Police who are investigating."

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office says it was called to a parking garage at Froedtert Hospital early Friday morning for a death investigation.

The Wauwatosa Fire Department responded to the parking garage around 3:50 a.m. for a female patient.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation.
