MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- If you use Milwaukee County buses to get around, be prepared. Changes are coming soon.
The transit system has announced adjustments that will take effect March 8.
The changes, made necessary by a budget shortfall, will shorten five routes: 11, 22, 24, 80, and 88.
Other routes will be rerouted because of construction projects.
Whenever this happens, some riders are inconvenienced, and we're told MCTS got a lot of input from riders and bus drivers before making the changes.
If you want to make your feelings known, there are ways to do it.
"On our website, we have interactive maps," said Jesus Ochoa, with MCTS. "You can lay comments directly on those, we have our customer service line where you can call in or email us, and if there are any meetings in the future, come to those meetings."
