WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It is a little cold to be out on the water right now, but that doesn't mean you can't plan for the summer.
The Milwaukee Boat show is back at the State Fair grounds this weekend.
There are more than 300 brand new boats on display, with everything from kayaks and pontoons to motor-yachts and offshore fishing rigs.
Organizers say the weather might not have you thinking about setting sail right now, but you will thank yourself in the summer when you've gotten a new boat ready for the season.
"Ordering boats now ensures you're going to have them and enjoy them in the summer. If you wait 'til later this spring, you're kind of stuck with what the dealer might have available. Well, if he's got some boats, you're in luck," said Ben Nielson, show manager. "If he doesn't, then you may not get that boat or you might not get the color boat you want, the interior design you want, because you're limited to what they have on the floor."
Besides a new boat, you can find all kinds of gear and accessories at the event.
If you cannot make it this weekend, don't worry. The show continues tomorrow and for another five days next week, starting Wednesday and ending Sunday.
