MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Ever dreamed of riding in a Milwaukee County Transit System bus without having to make all those stops? Look no further. A Milwaukee car dealer has an old city bus for sale.
For the price of $7,095, the bus could be yours.
Aranda Auto Sales Manager Miguel Herrera told CBS 58, they purchased the bus "as-is" at an auction in Lomira to draw people's attention.
"The ordinary is SUVs, pickups, motorcycles... why not get something a little bit different? So far, it has caught the eye," he said.
The bus still has seats inside so if you're looking for a project or a party, this might be it.
Herrera says they've received a few offers for the bus, including some from the city of Milwaukee. He believes the city would possibly be interested in restoring the bus or using the parts.
"Mechanically speaking, runs good," Herrera said.
Aranda Auto Sales is located near S. 27th and Forest Home.
According to the Milwaukee County Transit System, they sell its old buses once they reach standard "end of life" -- meaning after 12 years or when the vehicle accumulates more than half-a-million miles.
MCTS says they always remove the license plates and paints over the logos on the exterior.
