Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival celebrates 21 years Thursday

MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) An annual tradition flips the switch on the holidays Thursday, Nov. 21. 

Downtown Milwaukee's Holiday Lights Festival kicks off from Pere Marquette Park at 6 p.m.

Organizers say there will be live entertainment, refreshments, a visit from Santa, fireworks and more for the entire family. 

The celebration lights downtown's 500,000+ lights and displays in three parks - Cathedral Square Park, Pere Marquette, and Zeidler Union Square as well as three downtown thoroughfares including an 18-block stretch along Wisconsin Avenue. 

The lights will remain lit through Jan. 1 2020.
