Milwaukee police investigating after 2 injured in separate shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two shootings that occurred Friday, July 3.

The first occurred around 7:15 p.m. near 74th and Florist. Police say there was a fight in the street and shots were fired, injuring a 17-year-old girl. She was treated at a local hospital for a non-life threatening wound.

The second shooting occurred around 7:20 p.m. near 25th and Vliet. Police say an unknown man approached the victim in a vehicle and fired numerous shots. The victim, a 23-year-old man, sustained a non-life threatening wound and was treated at an area hospital.
