WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into the back of a vehicle near 111th and Greenfield in West Allis. 

It happened just before 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4. 

According to West Allis police, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound at a speed of more than 100 mph before the crash occurred. 

The 36-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified by the Milwaukee County Examiner's Office as Joseph Buckelew, of Florida. 

The driver of the vehicle that was struck was not injured. 

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
