Things getting a little sappy this weekend for Wehr Nature Center’s...
We continue our trend of rain chances every day this week, but many of us stay dry for most of Tuesday and Wednesday. Tuesday's rain chance is best in our northern counties but the rest of southeast Wisconsin might stay dry. Wednesday has a good chance for showers in the early morning then drying for most of the day before another rain chance arrives late Wednesday with a soggy Thursday possible.
With relatively lighter rain chances today and tomorrow our focus shifts to the temps today. Highs Tuesday could reach the upper 70s which is close to records! The record high of 80* set back in 1963 is in jeopardy.
Records the rest of the week look safe but it will stay warm with highs hovering around 70* through Friday. Enjoy some of the 70s while we have them because a big cold front arrives Saturday dropping us to around 50 for the weekend.
The upcoming weekend is busy for Halloween activities and trick-or-treating and it's going to be chilly! Temps during the evening hours will be in the 40s with highs around 50. Halloween itself might not even get to 50*.
The wind will stay strong the rest of the upcoming week. Gusts the next few days reach 25 or 30 mph bringing in the warmer air out of the southwest. The wind for the weekend shifts to the northwest and north but is likely still gusty.
