MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim Thursday as 33-year-old Lester Whitmore.

The medical examiner's report says he was shot by an unknown suspect while painting on the front porch of his residence. 

Milwaukee police previously indicated the victim was 35 years old.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say a 35-year-old man is dead after a shooting near Ring and MLK Drive Sunday night, Aug. 23.

The shooting happened around 11:10 p.m., according to officials, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified by family Monday as Lester "Chunky Whitmore."

No suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
