MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A teen who was seriously injured in a shooting near North 41st Street and West Lloyd Street on Saturday has died, according to Milwaukee police.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as 17-year-old Daezon Hughlett of Milwaukee.

Police previously said the shooting happened around 5:45 p.m. Saturday. Hughlett was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Milwaukee police announced Friday that he died from his injuries.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation. Police are continuing to search for unknown suspects.
