Racine County Sheriff's Office makes drug arrest, finds small children
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Drugs, a gun and cash were found during a search warrant in Racine County on Friday, Dec. 1.
According to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, the search warrant was based on a drug investigation involving 33-year-old Juan Mendez Jr.
During the execution of the warrant, agents discovered the presence of three small children under the age of 4 years old. They also identified three additional children who live at the residence but were not present at the time of the search. According to the sheriff's office, Racine County's Child Protective Services were called.
Agents located the following items during the search:
- 7.7 grams of Fentanyl in the form of 44 pills with 39 of the pills being counterfeit 30 mg Percocet's.
- 112 grams of Amphetamine in the form of 224 pills
- 0.7 grams of Schedule Four narcotics in the form of three pills
- 268.7 grams of marijuana
- Kimber Micro 9mm Handgun with ammunition
- $1,410 US Currency
Mendez was transported to the Racine County jail. He is being held on a $687,500. He faces multiple offenses, such as manufacturing/delivering Fentanyl, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
