First Presbyterian Church 185th Anniversary

The First Presbyterian Church of Racine is celebrating its 185th Anniversary on Sunday, February 18 with a 930am worship service and festivities; followed by a reception in Ihrman Hall and archival displays in the Chapel Gallery.

First Presbyterian Church was founded on February 13, 1839. Church archives trace the history of a congregation with a conscience, a commitment to community service and a resilience throughout its history. Later, the church actively supported those seeking freedom via the Underground Railroad. The church continues to be a supporter of many Racine are organizations and groups.
