NOW: Rain chances take a break with one last warm day before a lake breeze returns
NEXT:

We had the chance for some stronger storms Monday night into early Tuesday morning. The storms were still a bit strong going towards the Madison area and some of our western counties may have seen some lightning and gusty wind but the storms quickly weakened and even dissipated before they reached the lakefront. Storms Monday night were initially aided by some warm temps from Monday when we saw highs in the 80s for almost everyone. It was tied with Saturday for the warmest temps of the year.

Few more showers might be possible through about noon on Tuesday but once a cold front arrives the rain chance will go away. That cold front will shift the wind from a warm southwest wind to a cooler northwest wind. Expect a gusty breeze most of Tuesday with wind speeds over 30 mph at times. A lake breeze returns Wednesday through Saturday keeping temps cool.

Tuesday is still a warm day with highs reaching into the 70s. Some of those highs might happen around the midday hours before they cool towards dinnertime into the 60s and eventually 50s by the later evening hours.

After mid 70s for highs on Tuesday the combination of the cold front and a lake breeze will keep temps very cool for the rest of the work week in the 50s. Each of those days could be warmer inland closer to 60 or the low 60s.
