The record heat from the last few days has ended. Temperatures for Wednesday will still be warm in the 80s and it's still super humid but not close to records anymore. During the record stretch of heat from the Labor Day weekend we saw three new records. Sunday tied the record high of 95* then Monday broke the record high with a temp of 93* and Tuesday shattered a record for the warmest low temp since it only dropped to 77* from midnight to midnight Tuesday.
Wednesday's focus will shift from the heat to rain since a few scattered showers and storms have already rolled through with more expected off and on throughout the day.
There will still be plenty of dry time Wednesday but it's hard to pinpoint when that might happen. The amount of rain falling Wednesday isn't a ton. Most of southeast Wisconsin will only see 0.10-0.30" of rain with isolated locations getting up to a half inch in some thunderstorms.
Wednesday will be our only good rain chance this week. A light lingering shower could linger into early Thursday morning but by the time most of us are leaving the house it's dry with decreasing clouds. The upcoming weekend looks all dry.
