KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Rustic Road Brewing Company's fifth annual Lakeside Oktoberfest runs Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 24-27, at Celebration Place at Harbor Park in downtown Kenosha, according to event organizers Julia Heiser and Rachel Fischer, who joined us Tuesday, Sept. 22.
The four-day event features live music each day, German food including brats, pretzels and schnitzel sandwiches, along with a rotating lineup of local food vendors. Hours run 4 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Saturday includes a ceremonial keg tapping, a presentation of the colors from the American Legion, with $2 from every stein purchased going to the Kenosha American Legion. The day also features a stein hoisting contest and the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha's Brat Trot fun run.
Sunday is Family Day, with bounce houses, face painting and a dog costume contest, along with a meat raffle, a brat slingshot and a drawing for the American Legion raffle, which includes ten $1,000 prizes.
