Sheboygan man with life-threatening injuries following motorcycle crash

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Sheboygan police are investigating a motorcycle crash that left a A 27-year-old Sheboygan man seriously injured. 

It happened near S. 8th St. and Indiana Ave. around 1:23 a.m.

The Sheboygan Police Department was called for a single vehicle crash.

A 27-year-old Sheboygan man was operating his motorcycle headed south on 8th St. when he was ejected. Officers were nearby and were able to use a tourniquet to control heavy bleeding.

The man was transported to St. Nicholas Hospital by Sheboygan Fire Department Paramedics where he was then transported to Froedtert Hospital by air ambulance.

The intersection remains closed while the Sheboygan Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team investigates the crash.
