Silver alert issued for 80-year-old man with dementia last seen with sister in Madison
Winnebago County Sheriff\'s Office MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) - The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office has issued a statewide silver alert for 80 year-old John William Beyer, who was last seen on camera driving in front of Madison's Capitol Building around 7:55p.m. yesterday, despite having no family in the Madison area or reason to be in that vicinity.
Officials state that Mr. Beyer, who suffers from dementia or some other cognitive impairment, left his home in Oshkosh with his sister, Donna Beyer, around 1p.m. and 7:55p.m. was the last time they were spotted in Mr. Beyer's vehicle on camera. The vehicle they are traveling in belongs to Mr. Beyer and is described as a tan 1999 Chevy Malibu with Wisconsin plates reading "859VNN".
Mr. Beyer is described as an 80-year-old white male standing at 5'9" tall, weighing around 215lbs, with thin grey balding hair and blue eyes. His last known clothing is unknown. It is important to note that Mr. Beyer is traveling with his sister, who also has dementia.
