Soaking overnight rain is over but more chances for rain and storms the next week

NOW: Soaking overnight rain is over but more chances for rain and storms the next week
NEXT:

Our wet week has come to an end. We have seen a lot of late evening, overnight and early morning showers this week. That wrapped up with a good soaking rain for most of southeast Wisconsin Thursday night into Friday morning. As of 8 AM most of those rain showers have ended and the rest of Friday is expected to be dry. More shower chances will return Saturday afternoon and evening. Scattered showers and a few storms already look likely for Sunday.

Temperatures both Friday and Saturday will be held in check by a lake breeze with lakeside communities staying around 50 for highs and only slightly warmer inland. Sunday will be a warm and windy day with highs around 70 with those showers.

Right now, every day next week has a chance for showers and storms. The chance is uncertain on Monday but Tuesday will be the biggest day to watch for some heavy rain and strong to severe storms. Wednesday and Thursday also have storm chances. By the end of the next seven days most of Wisconsin could see over an inch of rain with 2-4" expected for most locations, including southeast Wisconsin.
