It's been awhile since we've had any rain across southeast Wisconsin. The last time we had accumulating rain was last Monday, September 22nd. That now makes it seven straight days without any rain.
September is on track to end well below-average on rain for the month. But for the entire year we are doing just fine on precipitation. Our wet year is mostly thanks to the historic rainfall and flooding in August. Since January 1st we have seen over 30" of precipitation which isn't quite as wet as last year's soggy 2024 but still above the average of 27.57".
Our dry streak this week will continue with no rain expected the next 72 hours. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all look dry.
Rain chances right now look dry through the upcoming weekend. The next chance for rain doesn't arrive until next Monday right now.
Download the CBS 58 Weather app to track some very warm temps through the weekend and that next chance for rain.
