Storm the Bastille 5K run and walk returns to Milwaukee July 13

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Storm the Bastille 5K run/walk will return for the first night of Bastille Days on Thursday, July 13. 

The run/walk will kick off the 2023 French-themed festival in Cathedral Square Park from July 13-16, according to a press release.

“Madison Medical is excited to host this year’s Bastille runners, walkers and spectators as they ‘storm’ through downtown Milwaukee,” said Kevin Behl, executive director of Madison Medical Affiliates. “We are proud to support this iconic event and cultural festival which is so important to our community.”

Early bird registration costs $30 until May 31 and includes a Storm the Bastille T-shirt, bib and a post-race water or beer. 

The run/walk will be followed by a downtown afterparty celebrating the festival's 40th anniversary.
