Stray bullet strikes Marquette University residence hall window

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating a shots fired incident between two cars near N. 17th St. and W. Highland Ave. around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Authorities say a stray bullet from the exchange went through an eighth floor window in Wells Tower near N. 18th St. and W. Wells St.

Marquette University Police and Resident Assistants went door to door to check on all residents, and confirmed there were no injuries. 

The investigation into the shots fired incident is still underway, and there is no ongoing threat to campus.
