It was a good run!
But Summer is over starting now! I mean, it can still briefly surface, like today's fun fact But 80s are a treat in October and per the averages only one is normal. So it got me thinking about taking inventory on our heat this season. As you can see the average amount of eighty plus heat through today's date is forty-nine days. We've had sixty-four, so far this year. That figure is less then recent years but still more than average. So, what's next? The wind nippy air is here, along with rain showers. And there doesn't seem to be any real turnaround in sight. In fact, what we need to brace for next is the possibility of frost. Milwaukee hung on to the 50s this morning, but elsewhere temps dropped to the 40s. And tonight, Milwaukee will follow suit. Moreover, inland spots will drop to the 30s a handful of times in the days ahead. Check it out: Additionally, rain showers will continue through mid evening and there's an isolated chance for a few more on Sunday. As it looks now, cool temps will continue the next week. Happy Fall!
