Summerfest to feature top Latino artists and Latin Music Day
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Summerfest is just three weeks away, and part of the excitement is making a list of artists to see. For 2024's festival, of the 140 artists performing, many are Latinos.
Kevin Kaarl, a Mexican folk singer/songwriter who has quickly gained millions of fans, will perform on Thursday, June 20 at the Miller Lite Oasis stage at 8:30 p.m.
The group Latin Mafia will bring reggaeton, R&B and pop from Mexico City to Summerfest, also on June 20 at 10:15 p.m. from the Miller Lite Oasis stage.
Ivan Cornejo, known for his hit "Dónde Estás" (Where Are You) which has almost 20 million views on YouTube, will be at the BMO Pavilion on Saturday, July 6 at 9:30 p.m.
Luis Figueroa, a two-time Latin Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter, will perform on Saturday, June 22 at 7 p.m. at Aurora Pavilion.
Angélica García’s song "Jicama," which was on former President Barack Obama’s list of favorite songs of 2019, will likely be part of her set when she performs on Friday, July 5 at 4:30 p.m. from the Aurora Pavilion.
A day dedicated to Latin music, Latin Music Day, will be celebrated on Saturday, June 22. Telemundo Wisconsin and Aurora Health Care will welcome numerous Latin artists to the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard starting at 2 p.m., closing with a Latin DJ dance party.
