1 dead, 4 teens injured in single-vehicle rollover crash in Fond du Lac County
CBS 58 TOWN OF CALUMET, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One teenager is dead and four others are injured following a single-vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County on Sat., June 13.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at around 7:17 p.m. along Highway HH in the Town of Calumet
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office said the vehicle left the roadway, struck a culvert and driveway, before flying in the air and hitting a utility pole and rolling over.
Officials say a 16-year-old girl died at the scene as a result of the crash.
The driver, a 16-year-old girl from Sheboygan, and a 15-year-old passenger was taken to a hospital in Fond du Lac.
Two other 15-year-old passengers were also taken to hospitals in Milwaukee and Sheboygan.
A sixth occupant, a 14-year-old passenger, was not injured and released to a parent at the scene.
Based on a preliminary investigation, impairment appears to be a factor in the crash.
The 16-year-old driver has been arrested on suspicion of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office.
