2 dead after 4-vehicle crash in Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people are dead after a four-vehicle crash in Dodge County.

It happened on Wednesday, June 19 around 1 p.m. on State Highway 33. 

 According to the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, they responded to the multi vehicle crash near Pierce and Town Hall Road. 

The investigation indicated a westbound car, driven by a 17-year-old male, crossed over the center line and struck an eastbound truck, driven by an 84-year-old man and a 79-year-old female passenger. That pickup was struck by a following passenger car, driven by a 71-year-old, and a fourth car following that one. The fourth car was driven by a 43-year-old. 

According to the sheriff's office, the 84-year-old man and 79-year-old woman have died following the crash. Both were from rural Hustisford. They were identified by the sheriff's office Friday as Roland Greuel and Shirley Greuel.  Authorities say both were pronounced dead at the scene. 

The 71-year-old man was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The 17-year-old and the 43-year-old were evaluated on scene, and not taken to a hospital. 

The crash remains under investigation.
